Olayemi Odeniyi, MSN, FNP-BC, DNP
Olayemi Odeniyi, is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner with special interest in prison medicine and family medicine. She completed her Associate Degree in Nursing at Dutchess Community College 2004, and then earned her Bachelors and Masters of Science in Nursing at Stony Brook University Long Island, New York in 2010 and then her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Loyola University, New Orleans, Louisiana in 2014. She has a strong background in emergency and critical care nursing. She is currently practicing in one of the Maximum security prisons in New York.
As an Adjunct Professor of Nursing Practice at Mount Saint Mary College, Newburgh, New York, she teaches Nurse Practitioner Students. She is a coach and a mentor to many nursing and non-nursing students and she is well loved by them.
Her love and passion for her community made her to serve on the Agency Advisory Council for the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York since 2017. As the Food Bank representative for her County she provides mentorship and guidance to fellow Food Bank member agencies working to address food insecurity in the County.
She is a writer and a published author. She enjoys cooking and decorating.
